Max is a theatre designer currently studying for an MA at the Bristol Old Vic theatre school. He graduated in 2009 from the University of Leeds with a BA in English Literature and Theatre Studies.
While at Leeds he has performed, directed, designed and stage managed, as well as creating new theatre. Designs include Phaedra’s Love and Bad House (National Student Drama Festival 2010), An Ideal Husband, Playhouse Creatures, Little Red (a fairy tale) (Edinburgh Fringe 2008), and Black Comedy. As Card House Theatre Max has produced his own play The View From Down Here, a piece of puppet theatre examining childhood fear and wonderment set during the blitz , performed to great acclaim at Light Night and Midget Gems in Leeds in 2009.
Max has also designed and operated puppets for amateur and professional productions, including Phaedra’s Love (NSDF), and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea for Birmingham Rep.
